Как мне сделать диаграмму с областями?
Step 1 - Creating a chart
After creating an account on ChartBlocks, you can then create any type of chart you want, including an area chart. Below is a step-by-step explanation of how to create an area chart :-
The first thing to do is select the 'area' option on the chart creation page. It's in the middle column, above 'stacked'.
Step 2 - Supplying data
Once you've selected the area chart option, you'll then be asked how you want to supply the data for your chart. You have three options for how to supply chart data. The first is to enter it manually into our spreadsheet. The second option is to use a previously created data set that you uploaded to ChartBlocks. Lastly you can upload an excel spreadsheet from your computer.
Step 3 - Sorting your data
After providing the data, you then set which columns are to be used for the x and y axis.
Step 4 - Choosing a template
The last step is to choose a template for your chart.
Step 5 - Share or customize
After you've created your chart you can then decide to save it to be customised later. You can also share your chart very easily on social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. You'll also be given the code to embed your site elsewhere on the web.
What type of data is an Area Chart good for?
Area charts can be used for representing the fluctuations in one particular kind of data; or they can be used to represent different variables and contrast the fluctuations between them in a very clear manner.
Area charts are particularly useful when you want to demonstrate trends to the viewer, rather than particular points. Because area charts make use of solid blocks of colour, unlike line charts, give a greater sense of the trends in a particular dataset, whereas line charts are better when you want the viewer to focus on particular points in the data.
